How Do You Become an AT?

Students must have completed a certificate program at
one of the accredited educational centres within
Canada and pass the national exam facilitated by the CATA.

An Athletic Therapist (AT) is a member of the
Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA),
and Ontario Athletic Therapist Association.

The Canadian designation for
Certified Athletic Therapists is CAT(C).

Athletic Therapists in Ontario are also members of the
College of Kinesiologists of Ontario,
meaning ATs are a part of the
Regulated Health Professions Act (1991).
